Opioid use and abuse from illicit drugs and inappropriate use of prescription drugs have become a national public health issue. Timely response to opioid overdose can save lives.  This NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH) approved webinar provides training for NYS schools choosing to implement Opioid Overdose Prevention and allow naloxone administration by school staff who are not medical professionals. It has been approved pursuant to section 3309 of Public Health Law for Opioid Overdose Prevention Training. This training presentation includes a webinar, post-test, and skills checklist and additional resources for schools.  A certificate with 1 CTLE is awarded upon successful completion.

You must receive at least a 100% on the Post Knowledge Check to successfully complete the webinar and receive a certificate.

The approximate completion time for this course is 38 minutes.
