Meeting New York State (NYS) education requirements for school health education instruction can be challenging.

This micro-course will provide information on which health education curriculum topics are mandated by the NYS Education Department and which are recommended. Additionally, it will give an overview of who needs to teach health education content by grade level. Resources and links to NYS's laws and regulations governing school health education instruction are provided.

A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion, which may be used to satisfy Professional Development requirements.
