The Impact of Sexually Transmitted Infections on NYS Youth
Course
While sexually transmitted infections (STIs) affect individuals of all ages, STIs take a particularly heavy toll on youth. The CDC estimates that youth ages 15-24 account for almost 50% of new sexually transmitted infections that occurred in the United States in 2018. This course will reveal the increase and implications of STIs on school-aged students and the evidence-based tools to assist school personnel in supporting students.
A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion that may be used to satisfy Professional Development requirements.
